MISSION: To develop responsible renewable resource projects to support sustainable community development in rural areas of Central America.

OBJECTIVE: Develop projects that will create long term jobs in neglected Rural Areas, while maintaining the utmost respect for the environment and local culture.

STRATEGY:

  • Develop sustainable forestry estates in areas degraded by human activities  and return them to their original vocation:  trees.
  • Create jobs during the establishment and maintenance of the plantations to improve the  family and local economy, while at the same time protect and enhance what is left of the original rain forest through private natural reserves.
  • Help develop local infrastructure, such as, roads, water wells and schools through fiscal responsibility and cooperation with municipal government and communities.
  • Promote small entrepreneurs/businesses and cooperatives in the communities that may take advantage and profit from a consistent source of raw material to produce value added products.
  • Reduce forest fires by developing well-equipped and trained fire protection brigades and a community information system.
  • Recuperate forest cover and increase connectivity between forest fragments promoting biodiversity conservation.
